Wildlife VolunteerThere are three easy steps to become a volunteer for Wildlife:
  1. Apply Online! This will help us process your application more efficiently. Select Volunteer Login to apply online. If you do not have internet access, please contact a volunteer coordinator to request an application.
  2. Attend a volunteer orientation or review the volunteer handbook  and return the completed volunteer handbook quiz .
  3. Once you have been accepted as a volunteer you may sign up for volunteer projects published in the "Call of the Wild" volunteer newsletter.
Additional Volunteer Requirements

In order to volunteer you must be at least 18 years old, or have a signed permission from a parent or guardian. The parent or guardian must participate in the project. Minors are restricted from certain activities.
Volunteer Benefits

As a volunteer you can expect opportunities to expand your knowledge and enhance your interests in Colorado wildlife. You can expect timely communication about volunteer projects and opportunities through the quarterly newsletter and volunteer website. To show our appreciation, each region hosts at least one annual event with awards and presentations. We hope to include you in next year's celebration!
Volunteer Expectations

Whether you choose to volunteer one day per week, per month, or per year, you are welcomed and appreciated for what you can give. All that is asked is that you do your best to follow through on the commitments you make. Upon completion of a project, we ask that you report your volunteer hours directly to CPW. Hours entry is done through the volunteer database or through your volunteer coordinator.
