Contact the Colorado Parks and Wildlife Commision.The Parks and Wildlife Commission is currently comprised of members of the State Parks Board and the Wildlife Commission and is a combination of the two boards as they existed when Parks and Wildlife were in separate divisions. Over the coming months, the Parks and Wildlife Commission will develop a proposal for their size and composition.

 
The former Parks Board members represent the North, West, South, and Metro regions, with one member-at-large (Regions Map). The former Wildlife Commission members represent districts (District Boundaries Map).
Chris Castilian
Parks Region: Metro

Chris CastilianChris Castilian is a fourth generation Coloradan with a natural resource and public sector background. He is an attorney, a former director of the State Board of Land Commissioners, former Legislative Director for Colorado Counties, Inc., and a former Deputy Chief of Staff for Governor Bill Owens. He is currently the Manager of Government and Community Relations for Anadarko Petroleum Corporation. He volunteers on multiple non-profit boards, including the Colorado Creative Industries Council, Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado, Volunteers of American Western Fantasy, National Western Stock Show Junior Livestock Auction Committee and the Colorado Petroleum Association. He is an avid mountain biker, skier and adventure racer.

Dorothea Farris

Wildlife District: 1     Represents: Wildlife Organizations

Dorothea FarrisDorothea Farris of Carbondale represents Wildlife Organizations on the Commission. She is an educator with extensive Board experience with the Aspen School District, Colorado Association of School Boards, as a Pitkin County Commissioner, and with Colorado Counties, Inc., the National Association of Counties, and various non-profit boards. Farris also has extensive experience in educational instruction and policymaking. Her interests include preservation and protection of wildlife, wildlife habitat, open lands, access to and conservation of public lands, environmental education and outdoor recreational activities. Since 2006, she has served on Colorado Division of Wildlife’s Public Education Advisory Council.

Allan Jones

Wildlife District: 1     Represents: Agriculture/ Produce Growers

Allan Jones represents agriculture and produce growers.Allan Jones lives in Meeker and is the owner and manager of Winslett Ranch, Inc. He received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University and was a practicing veterinarian for 17 years prior to becoming a ranch owner. He has served on numerous local, regional and state boards and commissions and was a Rio Blanco County Commissioner from 1980 – 1988. Allan is currently a board member of the White River Soil Conservation District and the Upper Colorado Environmental Plant Center, both located in Meeker. He is also a member of the Meeker Lion’s Club, the Colorado Cattlemen’s Association and the National Western Stock Show Club. Allan was appointed by Governor Ritter to represent the agriculture/produce growers group.

Bill Kane

Parks Region: Northern

Bill Kane, Colorado State Parks Board MemberBill Kane has over 30 years of experience in planning and design for mountain resort communities. Much of his career has been focused in Aspen, Colorado, where he has served as planning director, vice president of Aspen Skiing Company and principal of Design Workshop. Bill holds a Master's Degree in Regional Planning from the University of Pennsylvania.  His education, work history and life experiences make him an expert in private and public planning for all of the physical and programmatic elements which define mountain resort design.
