
Dorothea Farris of Carbondale represents Wildlife Organizations on the Commission. She is an educator with extensive Board experience with the Aspen School District, Colorado Association of School Boards, as a Pitkin County Commissioner, and with Colorado Counties, Inc., the National Association of Counties, and various non-profit boards. Farris also has extensive experience in educational instruction and policymaking. Her interests include preservation and protection of wildlife, wildlife habitat, open lands, access to and conservation of public lands, environmental education and outdoor recreational activities. Since 2006, she has served on Colorado Division of Wildlife’s Public Education Advisory Council.
