I'm interested in GIS data.  Does the CPW have a place to download data?

The Colorado Parks and Wildlife GIS Unit now distributes data on the ArcGIS.com website. You can find our GIS data by searching ‘GROUPS’ for ‘Colorado Parks and Wildlife’ or by following this link to Colorado Parks and Wildlife on ArcGIS.com. To ensure you are viewing all GIS data and maps available make sure to change the option ‘Show: Web Content Only’ to ‘Show: All Content’ in the right side of the page header.

Wildlife GIS

Geographic Information Systems in the Colorado Parks and Wildlife

Wildlife GIS using Smartboard technology to facilitate HPP meeting in Walden.Geographic Information Systems is a technology that deals with how things are distributed in the landscape, and the inter-relationship of these “spatial” features. Wildlife GIS provides a wide array of data and mapping services to many groups within the Division of Wildlife. From determining species distributions, to developing management planning tools, to monitoring Chronic Wasting Disease, to supporting biologists and field officers, if it exists in the landscape we can provide information on the where and the why.
