The Colorado Wetland’s for Wildlife Program is a voluntary, collaborative, and incentive-based program to protect, restore, enhance and create wetlands and riparian areas in Colorado. Funds are allocated annually to the program - and projects are selected by a Division of Wildlife committee of biologists and field operations staff.

Description:  This project will improve the water delivery system for 14 existing ponds totaling 121 acres, and will develop 50 acres of new shallow wetlands.

Description:  This project will remove exotic woody vegetation and replant native vegetation on private lands along the Huerfano River (A) and will enhance and develop shallow wetlands at Jackson’s Pond in Kiowa Co. (B).
