These statewide harvest statistics are collected through post-season phone surveys. The surveys are conducted on a stratified random sampling of hunters drawn from among participants in the Harvest Information Program (HIP). The Small Game Summary reports include statistics for a variety of small game animals that are not included in the table below, including coyote, dove, marmot, pheasant, quail, rabbit, salamander, snake, squirrel, turtle, and more. If there is not an individual species report listed below, please check the Small Game Summary.
