Knowledge and Skills for Hunting, Recreation in Colorado

Pronghorn. Photo © DOW/D. Hannigan. The Hunter Outreach Program offers clinics and seminars throughout the year to give novice and experienced hunters alike opportunities to improve upon hunting skills, practices, and techniques. Past clinics have covered elk, waterfowl, grouse, and turkey hunting, duck identification, 'new resident' orientations (to help understand Colorado's hunting rules, regulations, and licensing), outdoor survival, and map reading/orienteering.

Whatever the topic, these clinics and seminars are informative and educational, featuring guest speakers and Division of Wildlife experts. And they offer a setting in which to meet others who share similar interests and goals.

Upcoming Events:

  • Goose hunting how-to: Jan. 14 and 28 at Wellington State Wildlife Area. Participants will be selected by a drawing. Here's the details.
