CWD Test Results
If you need to obtain test results for animals submitted prior to 6/1/2013, please contact Colorado Parks and Wildlife.
Tests performed by the Colorado State University Diagnostic Laboratory on samples from harvested deer and elk are only intended to screen for evidence of chronic wasting disease (CWD) infection, and results are not meant to imply assurance of meat quality for human consumption. Test accuracy and sensitivity (the ability to detect infected animals) can vary depending on sample quality and stage of infection. Although typical test accuracy rates are more than 90%, no testing process can assure 100% accuracy for CWD diagnosis. Consequently, "Not Detected" test results do not exclude the possibility of an individual deer or elk being infected with CWD. Please enter your submission number and click the "Get Result" button below to indicate that you have read and understand the intended use and limitation of laboratory test results.
